Windsor Castles' beautiful Moat Garden is open to visits, on both remaining Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in August, and entry donations are raising funds for Windsor St George Rotary Club chosen charities - with their members offering support for the Moat Garden open days. (£3pp payable on arrival / £2 seniors)
The wonderful Moat Garden started life as a defensive moat dug by Saxon labourers for William the Conqueror nearly one thousand years ago.
Nestled beneath the iconic Round Tower, this enchanting garden is full of rich history and fascinating stories.
The proceeds from opening the Moat Garden are donated to charities and youth organisations in the Windsor area.
💳 Admission to the Castle is free for Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Advantage Card holders. You are able to book in advance or turn up on the day. If you turn up on the day, admission will be provided on the next available time slot, subject to availability.
